End-of-season sales

The end of the season is synonymous with sales. One thing I don't let go unnoticed is the NBA's end-of-season sales.

I confess that it was a great friend of mine, Rodrigo, a fan of the Golden State Warriors, who introduced me to the world of sports promotion.

He sent me a link saying, "Hurry, Curry's uniform is 50% off!" From that moment on, I became an NBA end-of-season bargain hunter.

Major brands that sell official merchandise, such as the NBA Store, Nike, Adidas, and even brick-and-mortar stores, typically clear out their inventory at the end of the regular season.

This means that uniforms, which used to cost very little, are becoming much more affordable. I've even seen official jerseys for half the price. Can you believe it?

This is the perfect time for league fans who want an original uniform, but without having to sell a kidney on the black market.

How to take advantage of the end-of-season sales

If you want to take advantage of these end-of-season sales, I recommend a few simple steps that I follow every year:

Download the official apps: The NBA Store app, for example, often notifies you when there's a sale. Nike and Adidas also send alerts.

Subscribe to our newsletters: Yes, those emails we usually ignore may contain valuable discount codes.

Follow social media: Many promotions are announced in stories or quick posts. Following store profiles is half the battle.

Don't lose sight of the big stores: Sites like Fanatics, Lids, or even Amazon in the US have incredible promotions, especially on dates like July 4th or Black Friday.

Oh, and a golden tip: sometimes the uniforms of players who have changed teams are cheaper. So if you don't mind having an "old" jersey, you can save even more.

Discover some apps to take advantage of:

NBA Store (Official NBA App)

This is the most direct and secure app for buying NBA jerseys. It's literally the official NBA app, so there's no room for error.

With it, you can find updated uniforms for the season, including special editions like the City Edition, the Statement Edition, and commemorative jerseys.

Plus, the app always has flash sales: I bought a Giannis Antetokounmpo jersey for 30% there at the end of the 2023 season.

Another advantage is that the app integrates with PayPal and Apple Pay, making payments much easier, especially for those living outside the US who are afraid of entering their card details.

Fanatics

This is one of my favorites! Fanatics specializes in American sports gear, and the NBA is one of the platform's flagship products.

You can find official jerseys for all teams and players, even those that sell out quickly at other stores.

What I like most about Fanatics is the option to customize the jersey. Yes, you can put your name and number on it, just like you're part of the cast!

Plus, they ship to Brazil and accept international credit cards. I used the app to buy a Kevin Durant jersey (from when he played for the Brooklyn Nets) and it arrived in perfect condition.

Oh, and they have seasonal promotions, so it's a good idea to turn on notifications.

Lids

Lids is most famous for its caps, but its app also has an excellent section of NBA jerseys and uniforms.

The difference is that they usually have exclusive models, which you won't find in the official NBA store or other apps.

The app is super intuitive, with easy navigation. I used it to buy a retro Shaquille O'Neal jersey from his time with the Orlando Magic, something that's hard to find in good condition.

And the best part: it was original from Mitchell & Ness, a leading brand in retro NBA products.

Lids also works with limited collections and collaborations with urban fashion brands, so it's worth a look for those looking for something more original.

Collectible T-shirts

If you're like me, who watches the NBA even secretly from your wife at dawn (so as not to disturb her sleep, of course), you know the symbolic value that a garment like this has.

Having an official uniform is like taking a piece of the field with you.

Now all you have to do is wait for the season to end and head to the stores. And if you find an unmissable deal, let me know, okay?

What's your favorite NBA team or player? I can help you find a great deal.
