Electronic devices for home security

We're looking for a safe home, and we have the technology to make it happen. Discover electronic devices for home security.

If I've learned anything since becoming a father, it's that home security goes far beyond locking the doors.

We started thinking about every detail: from who approaches the door to how to protect children in unexpected situations.

And, without realizing it, electronic devices have become great allies in all of this.

Today I want to share with you a list of technological devices that, in addition to being practical, provide a layer of protection and peace of mind we didn't even know we needed.

I'm not exaggerating: these devices help me sleep more peacefully.

Wi-Fi security cameras

This is the best one on the list. I installed my first Wi-Fi security camera in my house right after a neighbor's car was stolen on the street.

Since then, I have never been in the dark about what is happening around me.

These cameras connect to your phone, which means that even if I'm away from home (working, traveling, or just going about my daily life), I can see in real time what's happening at my door, in the garage, or even in my living room.

The other day, my daughter was alone for a few minutes waiting for her mother to arrive. I received a notification of movement in the driveway, and when I opened the app, it was her coming in.

I called her right away and was able to speak with her. It was quick and reassuring.

    Smartwatch with GPS and monitoring

I confess that I bought my first smartwatch more out of curiosity.

But when I discovered it could alert me to a rapid heartbeat, send me location information in case of an emergency, and even warn me of falls, I realized how much this also affects home security.

My wife, for example, uses the watch to monitor the children's route to school (they take the school bus and the app shows their location in real time).

It's like having a little assistant on your wrist, always alert.

      Bluetooth headphones (with built-in microphone)

It may seem strange to mention headphones on a safety list, but let me explain.

These modern models with built-in microphones help me answer calls hands-free, even important calls like those from security systems or neighbors warning me of something suspicious.

More than once, I've answered calls from the alarm center while at the supermarket or driving. Without having to take my phone out of my pocket, I was able to quickly resolve situations.

        Portable chargers (Power Bank)

This is the silent hero. Have you ever thought about calling the police or using the Wi-Fi camera app only to find your phone has run out of battery?

It almost happened to me, and since then the portable charger has become a must-have item in my backpack.

I also once helped a neighbor access his app-controlled electronic gate, but his cell phone had no battery.

A simple external battery solved the problem immediately.

          Technology that protects

The truth is that these accessories, often considered "luxuries" or "superfluous," play a fundamental role in protecting your home and family.

And the best part is that most of these devices have affordable, easy-to-use versions available on the official App Store or Play Store.

I'm not one to obsess over security, but I don't leave anything to chance either.

These electronic devices give me control over situations that previously depended on luck or the goodwill of someone warning me.

Now, with just a few taps on my phone, I have eyes and ears tuned into every corner of my house.

If you don't already use any of these devices, I recommend starting with a Wi-Fi camera. It's the investment that has given me the greatest return and peace of mind.
