If you want to learn how to color Bobbie Goods on your phone, I totally understand. I love these cute, character-filled drawings too.

I'll tell you a little about my experience and how fun (and even relaxing) it was to use apps to bring these charismatic characters to life.

First, if you're not familiar with it, Bobbie Goods is a very popular illustration style on social media, especially TikTok and Instagram.

They are very distinctive drawings, with friendly faces, vintage elements, and a very cozy atmosphere.

Many people print out drawings to color by hand, but the digital version is much more practical, and that's where your phone comes in!

Where to start?

To color Bobbie Goods on your phone, the first step is to download a digital drawing or painting app. I tried a few and I'll tell you which ones I liked the most:

Ibis Paint X

This was the first one I used, and let me tell you… it was love at first brushstroke! Ibis Paint X is a free app (there is a paid version, but the free one is already great).

It has an incredible amount of brushes, textures, filters and resources.

You can import a black and white image from Bobbie Goods (you can find several on Pinterest or even on their official account) and start coloring with the tools the app offers.

I like to use one layer per color so I can correct mistakes without ruining the rest of the drawing.

    PicsArt Color Paint

This one is simpler, but still great. If you don't have much experience with more professional apps, PicsArt Color can be a good place to start.

It has autofill, textured brushes, a blur option—everything is very intuitive.

I used this app with my 8-year-old daughter, and it was a great experience. We sat together on the couch and spent hours coloring Bobbie Goods, choosing soft palettes and pastel shades... it was a fun afternoon filled with laughter.

      Procreate Pocket (for iOS)

If you have an iPhone and want a more professional experience, Procreate Pocket is a marvel. It's not free, but it's worth every penny.

It's an app used by many digital artists, and with it you can create everything from simple doodles to complex works of art.

In this app, I like to experiment more with textures. I add shading to the characters and use different brushes to give the drawing a unique look.

Tips to get the most out of it:

Use layers: Almost all of these apps allow you to use layers, like in Photoshop. This helps a lot when correcting mistakes.

Choose a palette before you start: I like to use pastel shades because they go really well with Bobbie Goods' style. Take your time: Coloring is therapeutic. Put on some soft music, make yourself a cup of coffee, and relax.

Share: After coloring, you can post your results on social media. Many people love this type of content.

        Personal experience

A friend of mine, an art teacher, told me that she started using these apps with her elementary school students.

She told me that the children were delighted and that, in addition to having fun, they began to explore their creativity more and even show more interest in digital art.

He even set up a "virtual exhibition" with the students' colored drawings!

Coloring Bobbie Goods on your phone is not only a fun activity, but it's also a way to relax, explore your creativity, and even connect with others.

With the right apps, you can turn your phone into a true canvas for digital painting.

So, if you haven't tried it yet, my advice is: pick an app, download a Bobbie Goods drawing, and start coloring.

I bet you'll be surprised at how much fun it can be!
