I've always loved music. Since I was little, I remember my mother cleaning the house to the sound of praise songs that echoed throughout the house. Apps for listening to gospel music.
At that time I used a battery-powered radio with a cassette tape that was already worn out from so much use.
Times are different these days, but the essence remains the same: gospel music still touches me deeply, gives me strength, and renews me.
With the rush of everyday life, I can't always stop to listen to the radio or search for CDs like I used to.
That's why gospel music listening apps have been true allies in my routine.
They accompany me in traffic, on walks, while I work, or even in that moment of silent devotion, just me and God.
If you also feel that gospel music brings you closer to something greater, I want to share with you some applications that have been part of my life.
Check out apps for listening to gospel music. Perhaps they can bless you as they have blessed me.
Deezer
I'll start with Deezer because it was the first one I installed on my phone. It has curated playlists with classical praise, contemporary worship, Pentecostal, and even international gospel.
I usually keep a few playlists with songs by Cassiane, Fernandinho, Damares, Anderson Freire… depending on my mood.
The other day I was super worried about some work decisions and I put on the “Praise and Worship” playlist.
Man, what peace came over me... it seemed like God was answering me there, in every verse.
Spotify
You've probably heard of Spotify. Not only does it have virtually all the gospel artists I like, but it also suggests songs based on what you listen to.
It was there that I met some amazing ministries, like Preto no Branco, Morada, and even some independent singers that I never would have found on my own.
And the best part: you can listen to it offline, which is very useful when you're traveling and don't have internet access.
Gospel MP3 Scenario
This app is really great because it highlights Brazilian artists, even those who don't have a record label yet.
I like it because it reminds me how important it is to give space to those just starting out. I have a friend who's a gospel singer, and he put his songs there.
It was exciting to hear his voice ringing on my cell phone for the first time, on a real app. I even cried. Seeing someone's dream come true is always exciting.
Gospel FM Radio
Yes, there's still room for radio. This app streams live gospel radio stations from all over Brazil.
When I want to feel more connected to others in the faith, I listen to Gospel FM Radio. It features prayers, messages, interviews with pastors, and, of course, lots of worship.
It's too good. It reminds me of that time when the house was full, Sunday mornings, coffee and corn cake, and the sound of faith in the air.
The music that strengthens me
Not a day goes by without me hearing at least one gospel song. It's food for the soul, a conversation with God in the form of a melody.
These apps have helped me not only listen to music, but also experience it. They teach me, they uplift me, they inspire me.
So if you're looking to get closer to God, or just need peace amidst the turmoil of the world, try downloading one of these apps.
It costs nothing, and what you can get in return… oh, it's just too valuable.
Download, listen, experience. And then tell me: Which song resonated with you first?
