At first, I started out of necessity, like many others, during the pandemic, but it ended up becoming a spiritual habit that I still maintain, especially on busy days or when I'm away from my city.

I am Catholic and have always enjoyed the Sunday MassI like the rhythm, the readings, the homily, the Eucharist...

But with my work routine, my social commitments, and, above all, taking care of my family (those with young children understand this), I can't always be physically present at church.

And that's when the internet became an ally of faith.

Nowadays, when I can't go to the parish, I watch Mass on Catholic channels that broadcast it live online.

And look, there are several good and quality options, with beautiful and well-directed liturgies, that help me maintain my heart firm in faith.

Live Mass

One of my favorite channels is TV Canção Nova. They broadcast daily live Masses from the Sanctuary of the Land of Mercy, in Cachoeira Paulista.

The channel has a very spiritual programming, with rosaries, sermons, and adoration of the Blessed Sacrament.

It has its own application, which can be downloaded to your cell phone from the App Store or the Play Store, and is also available on YoutubeWhenever I can, I see her there.

Another very good channel is TV Aparecida, which broadcasts live masses from the National Shrine of Aparecida.

It's moving to see the celebration at this altar so representative of the Catholic faith in Brazil. They also have a free app and are streamed on YouTube.

I've even watched Mass from there outside of Brazil, when I was traveling in Germany. All I needed was a Wi-Fi connection, and that was it: I was spiritually back in Brazil.

Besides these two, I really like Rede Vida, one of the largest Catholic radio stations in the country. They broadcast Masses every day, generally with highly trained priests and impeccable production.

They have their own app, official website, and YouTube channel. Something that sets them apart Rede Vida In addition to Mass, they offer family programs, news, and children's programs with Christian values, ideal for those with children at home.

There is also the Archdiocese of São Paulo channel, which broadcasts live daily from the São Paulo Cathedral.

It's a more "urban" Mass, so to speak, reflecting the reality of big cities, with homilies that address highly topical issues.

They also have a channel of Youtube and the transmissions are usually very punctual.

Oh, and for those who enjoy following Vatican masses, the Vatican News channel (also on YouTube) is an excellent option.

You can watch masses presided over by Pope Francis, as well as special celebrations such as the Palm Sunday, Easter, Christmas and Corpus Christi.

I've seen some in Italian and even Latin; even without understanding everything, it's a profound spiritual experience.

With so many channels, it's impossible to say you can't attend Mass due to lack of time or transportation.

Sometimes I watch it on my phone while traveling (with the car parked, of course), or on my laptop when I'm working late.

One day I watched Mass in the living room with my children, and the oldest repeated some parts with me: simple moments, but heartwarming.

Ultimately, online Mass does not completely replace the in-person mass, but it is a beautiful alternative to keep our faith alive in our daily lives.

And, above all, it's proof that the Church has also adapted to be where people are, even on our cell phone screens.
