More radars and more fines

It is exactly what you read, more radars, more fines for drivers in our city. How to avoid new fines?

(I've placed the new addresses at the bottom of the page 😉)

I myself ended up receiving three fines in the space of four months, all due to sheer inattention on my part. More speed cameras and more fines.

It is true that there has been a significant increase in fixed radars in our city and this has caused a lot of discontent among residents.

Some say it is just another way to get money out of people. And after this discussion, the arguments begin about whether the radar is right or not and the intentions behind its installation.

Personally, I don't like fixed radars. The times I've been fined were not for speeding, so much so that the difference between the speed limit and the speed I was going was small.

However, I was still surprised by the lack of attention to detail. It was my fault, that's a fact.

But it is undeniable that, to the sadness of our city, many traffic accidents are occurring, with fatalities.

There are several families who are experiencing situations of deep sadness, caused by traffic accidents.

If more radars help reduce this problem, then I agree with their installation.

How can I avoid speed camera fines?

I believe, from personal experience, that the best way to learn how to avoid a speeding ticket is to get one. More radars and more fines

Nobody likes paying traffic fines and, in fact, it is very educational. Nobody wants to make the same mistake twice. Nobody wants to suffer that loss twice.

I speak from experience. I received three tickets, not for driving irresponsibly, but because I didn't realize I was exactly within the limits.

This is how I learned that you have to pay full attention in traffic, whether to avoid speed camera fines or to drive near schools with children nearby.

Another more practical way is to use GPS applications. I have already tried some of them, both for travelling and for moving around our city.

I will tell you the ones I liked the most. But I can already tell you that initially using a GPS application within the city may seem unnecessary, but later on it becomes essential for safety.

Applications to identify radars

I like to use GPS apps not only to indicate the route, but mainly to alert me of the location of radars.

Whether from fixed radars or mobile radars. In addition, of course, to notifications of accidents, traffic jams and problems on the road.

Google Maps

I'm a fan. It's the app I use the most and I think it should be through the Google ecosystem. Everything is connected within Google: email, Drive, routes, locations and more.

Google Maps is the app I use within the city, as it provides a very unique, exclusive and well-located experience.

For example, the app and ecosystem encompass your entire travel experience, your schedule, your appointments, and you can do all of this in an integrated way.

In addition to providing information on exclusive routes in the city and neighborhood, the app will help you discover new routes and the best times to travel.

Since it serves in a very regional way, whether for our city or for other cities and capitals.

Waze

Waze app is a GPS app, it also calculates routes, travel times, traffic jams and everything else. It is an excellent app and worth trying.

One of the services that users have really liked is the customization of voice commands.

When I used it, I put my wife's voice on. When the app alerts the radar, I hear it exactly as if my wife was alerting me. It's hilarious!!!

In addition, the app features other services. The main difference between one GPS app and another will be the user experience, especially with the app interface.

More caution, fewer accidents

As I mentioned initially, the city has seen an exponential increase in fixed speed cameras and I think population plays a big role in this.

Both to avoid new radars, but mainly to avoid more accidents.

The more aware you and I are that we are responsible for making traffic in our city a less dangerous place, the better!

It is up to each of us to be more cautious in traffic to avoid fines and new accidents. This way the whole city will be happier and safer.

More radars and more fines

New radar addresses

I have placed the addresses at the bottom of the page so that you can at least read a few paragraphs and be aware of your responsibility in traffic.

But as promised, here is the list of streets with new radars:

  • A radar on São João Avenue;
  • A radar on Av. Pio XV;
  • Three radars on Constantino Street;
  • Two radars on República Street;
  • Three radars on Marechal Deodoro Avenue;
  • A radar on São Pedro Avenue.
